Solar Control - Cool-Lite SKN 144 II

COOL-LITE SKN is a solar control glass range which gives excellent selectivity while retaining a neutral appearance. This range offers five different levels of performance, depending on a project's specific requirements.

COOL-LITE SKN 144 II is a 'to be tempered' solar control product which is primarily used in commercial buildings, either for façades, windows or overhead glazing.

COOL-LITE SKN 144 II is designed to offer exceptional solar and thermal performance:

• very low g-value of 0.23
• optimum U-value of 1.1W/m²K
• neutral appearance both in transmission and exterior reflection
• good levels of natural light transmission

COOL-LITE SKN 144 II can be used to improve the energy efficiency of buildings by considerably reducing overheating and the need for costly air conditioning. It is particularly suited to large areas of glazing where superior solar control performance is required whilst at the same time noticeably reducing excessive heat loss.

COOL-LITE SKN144 II can be toughened from stock enabling a quick turnaround for toughened/heat-strengthened double-glazed units. This high performance coating can be used to produce exciting and innovative projects within a short timescale. There is the additional advantage, therefore, of a short lead time for replacements.

COOL-LITE SKN 144 II is available in 6000mm x 3210mm dimensions, in 6, 8 and 10mm thicknesses (12mm available on request) allowing for over-sized high-specification units.

SGG COOL-LITE SKN 144 II meets the durability requirements of class C of European standards EN 1096-1 and -2.

Once the product is made into a sealed unit, the coating is protected within the sealed unit and it is handled in the usual way.
