Due to the nature of NiS and its reaction to the tempering process this may, in rare cases, lead to the spontaneous breakage of toughened glass in service. It is possible to reduce the risk of toughened glass spontaneously breaking due to the presence of critical NiS by subjecting the glass to an additional, destructive, thermal treatment known as heat soaking. We therefore cannot take any responsibility for the costs incurred for replacement glass, be it in single glazed or unit form, or other associated costs in the event of any breakages as a result of NiS where the Product has not been heat soaked by Us. We can provide you with more details on request.
